Wraparound Care Information for Parents
At Harrow Gate Primary Academy, we are proud to offer high-quality wraparound care that provides a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children before and after the school day. Our provision supports families by offering flexible childcare, healthy food options, opportunities for play and a range of enriching activities.
Breakfast Club
Reception to Year 6
FREE OF CHARGE
Thanks to funding provided by Greggs Foundation, Breakfast Club remains free for all children in Reception to Year 6.
Time: 7:40am – 8:40am (Monday to Friday)
Location: Main School Dinner Hall
Children should arrive through the main school entrance and attend the dining hall where they will be welcomed by our wraparound care team.
Nursery and 2-Year-Old Provision
Cost: £7.00 per session
Time: 7:40am – 8:40am (Monday to Friday)
Location: EYFS/Nursery Setting
Children should be brought directly to the Nursery entrance.
Healthy Breakfast Choices
A nutritious breakfast is available to all children attending Breakfast Club. Options may include:
- A selection of cereals
- Toast and crumpets
- Fresh fruit
- Yoghurts
- Milk and water
Our breakfast offer helps children start the day feeling ready to learn and supports healthy eating habits.
Activities Before School
Children attending Breakfast Club can enjoy a variety of supervised activities, including:
- Board games and puzzles
- Drawing and colouring
- Construction toys
- Reading and quiet activities
- Outdoor play (weather permitting)
- Physical activities and sports in the Sports Hall
These activities help children socialise with friends, develop confidence and begin the school day positively.
Booking Information
All wraparound care sessions must be:
✅ Booked in advance
✅ Paid for in advance (where charges apply)
Unfortunately, children will only be able to attend if a booking has been made.
After School Wraparound Care
Nursery (30-Hour Provision)
Children accessing the 30-hour Nursery provision should be collected at 2:45pm.
If your child remains beyond this time, the following charges will apply:

Location: EYFS/Nursery Setting
Wraparound care for Nursery and 2-year-old children will take place within the Nursery area, providing a familiar and nurturing environment.
Reception to Year 6
Time: 3:15pm – 4:30pm
Cost: £5.00 per session
Location: Main School Dinner Hall
Children will be cared for by our experienced staff team and will have access to a range of activities designed to promote fun, creativity and social development.
Activities After School
Children attending after-school wraparound care can enjoy:
- Arts and crafts activities
- Board games and group games
- Construction and creative play
- Reading and quiet areas
- Outdoor play opportunities
- Sports and physical activities in the Sports Hall
- Seasonal celebrations and themed events
Throughout the year, we celebrate a variety of special occasions and national events through themed activities, arts and crafts, games and creative projects, helping children to learn, have fun and create lasting memories with their friends.
